Part 2: Faces

Some faces that are part of the daily routine

We feel they don’t matter at all

And likewise, we don’t matter to them

They have their own bunch of friends after all!

One such face, a colleague of mine,

Was leaving for a better job

Wishing good luck we waved goodbye

But ouch! My heart missed a throb

I thought it was just a face

One mere acquaintance, I see out of habit

Then I realised that wasn’t the case

The face was a friend, I naively neglected!
