To one and all!

Every person has innumerable thoughts. Research says that an average human being has around 50,000 – 70,000 thoughts per day. That amounts to 35-48 thoughts per minute!  This means, no matter whether we are lazing around on our favorite couch or breaking our heads at our desk at work, our brain is definitely at task.

If we were to focus on each thought, giving each of them equal importance we would have all become insane. So, what is it that keeps us sane? Is it our ability to choose the thoughts we wish to ponder on? Possibly, yes!

If that is the case, selection of thoughts must definitely play a pivotal role in our lives. We feel sad, hurt, guilty, betrayed, angry etc at times and then we also feel excited, joyous, fabulous, thrilled, loved at the other times. Aren’t these feelings a result of the thought we pick up and hold on too?

If we have the power to select, then why not hold on to the thoughts that give us a good feeling! No matter what the current situation, no matter what chaos we are amidst, if we can look for something positive and hold on to it, can’t that affect our being?

Why not feed our brains with positive thoughts and shoo away the negative ones? Doesn’t a positive attitude towards life give us a better take on life than a negative one?

In any case, who wants to be sad or rather who likes to be sad! Then why not choose happiness over sadness. But, the problem is, it’s easier said than done! It is very difficult to put a blind eye over the things that make us sad. But if we really try hard, we can definitely do it!

I wish to spread this message. Actually, I want to keep reminding myself and my readers that we have to feed on positive thoughts! Though times will keep coming, we ought to fight it with our positive approach!

Just summing it up for you!  😉

The clock goes tick tock and so does our brain

The clock feeds on seconds and for the other ‘thought’ is the grain

The seconds make a minute and minutes an hour

Our thoughts make us feel at peace or at war

Let’s feed our brain on thoughts that bring harmony in us and in the globe

And let alone the ones that hurt, without any further probe!

I wish to spread this message to one and all! My audience is every individual who wishes to be happy. Who doesn’t want to be happy? Even I want eternal happiness. Is such kind of a perpetual happiness possible to achieve? Maybe that is a bit too much to ask for, but we can definitely help each other be happy. Every time our brain tries to feed on a negative thought we can help each other not linger over it for long and center our attention towards the positive ones and in result have an optimistic approach towards life!

  1. I’m so glad you liked one of my posts so I could discover you! This year I have been working on positivity and being authentic. I really like this post and your blog. I look forward to reading more of your writing and discovering how I can find the good on this journey of life. One of my favorite quotes right now: “Be one who nurtures and builds. Be one who has an understanding and forgiving heart, who looks for the good in people. Leave people better than you found them.” Marvin J Ashton
